Whether you're completing a full lawn installation or patching damaged areas, our sod rolls cover 10 sq. ft. each and are ready for same-week delivery with orders placed at least 48 hours in advance. Need help with installation? Our Green It Up team also offers professional lawn care and fertilization services in Calgary.

How to Lay Sod — Installation Guide for Calgary Lawns
Once your sod arrives, it’s time to get to work! Here’s a quick guide to help:

Clear the Area – Remove weeds, debris, and old grass.

Prepare the Soil – Loosen and level the top 2–3 inches.

Water the Soil – Lightly water just before laying sod.

Lay the Sod – Start straight, stagger seams, and use a roller.

Water Again – Water thoroughly after installation and keep moist for the first 1–2 weeks.

Mow When Ready – Wait until the sod is firmly rooted before the first mow (2–3 weeks).
